The project secures an artificial-turf football field for youth training while keeping the playing area open, visible, and weather-resistant.

Public sports facilities take a strain from heavy foot traffic, stray balls, and unauthorised after-hours access. The client needed fencing strong enough for daily impact, high enough to contain play, and secure enough to control entry. Gateway Metalworks installed a full solution using galvanised steel posts, concrete footings, and green PVC-coated chain link mesh.

The fence protects the turf, keeps balls inside the field, and improves safety around the facility. The PVC coating resists rust, sun, and coastal conditions in Cape Town, while top rails and tension wires keep the mesh tight over time. A reinforced swing gate with heavy-duty hinges and a secure latch gives coaches safe, controlled access.
